Maybe a Spartan-IV unit, or hero, as well. I think the Elephant, Cobra, Sparrowhawk & Wasp should definitely make it in. Would be fun to have an epic unit that's a mobile base and can build anything a Barracks can, as well as a Fortress and maybe some light vehicles (Mantis, Warthogs.Maybe the Wolverine), but no Scorpions, Colossi, Kodiaks, hero units, epic units, air units or anything of that sort, as that would be too absurd lore-wise and gameplay-wise. Mega-Mantis is too similar to the Colossus and Mantis that are already in the game and redundant and the Mammoth is too big (and possibly OP). Heck, Yan'me Drones, a flying infantry unit, and even a Banished Jackal leader that has Skirmishers, Halo 4/5 Jackals and classic Jackals, all as his units, would be pretty awesome.Īs for the UNSC, I'm kind of sad that the Mega-Mantis and Mammoth might not make it in. Revenants and Prowlers could be like a skin for the Marauder, since they function similarly. You could have the Beam Goblin be an upgrade or hero variant of the actual Goblin, for a Grunt leader. Prowlers, Vampires and a Goblin should most definitely make it in, though, if you ask me. I mean, they're already doing that in Halo Wars 2, so it wouldn't be too much of an exaggeration, and the art style for the Banished resembles the Promethean and Forerunner stuff quite a bit. Perhaps a Phaeton, as well, for a Banished leader that somehow stole Promethean tech. TBH I'd love to see a Banished leader with a Harvester or Kraken, instead of a Scarab.
I already don't expect a Mammoth (too big) to be in the game. There are other vehicles, but I'd think it's too much of a reach (hah) to try to get them in. Which ones would you like most? For what kind of leader, and why? I compiled a list of units from Halo canon that I think could make it easily into Halo Wars 2. Message the mod team if you're hosting an event!
